By accessing or using HighlightGPT, you agree to these Terms and to OpenAI’s policies that govern the ChatGPT platform. Some features require an existing ChatGPT account. If you do not agree, do not use the extension.

Eligibility & Appropriate Use

• You must be 13+ (or 16+ where required by law) and comply with applicable laws.
• Do not misuse HighlightGPT to scrape data, automate abuse, or bypass platform restrictions.
• No harassment, reverse engineering, or attempts to disrupt ChatGPT or the extension.
• We may suspend or remove access for violations of these Terms or platform policies.

Using HighlightGPT & Content

• You control what content you highlight and send to ChatGPT; you are responsible for that content.
• ChatGPT responses may be inaccurate or incomplete; use your own judgment before relying on them.
• We may adjust, pause, or discontinue features to maintain reliability, safety, or compliance.

Pro Features & Payments

HighlightGPT may offer paid Pro features. Pricing and entitlement details are shown at purchase. Payments are processed by third-party providers, and their terms may apply. Refunds are provided where required by law or as stated at checkout.

Disclaimers & Liability

• HighlightGPT is provided “as is” without warranties of accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
• To the maximum extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the prior 3 months; if you did not pay, this amount will usually be $0. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• You agree to indemnify us against claims arising from your misuse of the extension or violation of these Terms.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access at any time for misuse, legal requirements, platform policy changes, or technical/security reasons. You may stop using HighlightGPT at any time.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to HighlightGPT or applicable laws. Material changes will be dated above and, where feasible, communicated within the product experience.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable local law unless mandatory laws of your residence require otherwise.
